Biggest load of bullshit I’ve ever read

To find a partner who will support your choices both financially and emotionally and who will be around enough to participate as an equal parent, marry someone with a very large trust fund.

I can count on two hands men I personally know who would fly in the face of this “analysis.” Surely that means there are many more.

Uhhhh….yeah. I mean, I married a man who took equal parenting seriously. I do think it’s true that it’s really easy for heterosexual couples to fall into a “default setting” when it comes to caretaking/childcare roles. But it’s important to women *and men* to push back against that.

Heck, I went to Boulder for three months when my own kids were 4 and 6. I was thinking about not going, though it was good for my career. It seemed like too much to ask of my family. It was my husband that encouraged me to go.

My husband has been the biggest supporter of my success.

Agreed on all counts. My husband is my biggest supporter as well. Go us! :-)
